Abatement of organic and inorganic pollutants from drinking water by using commercial and laboratory-synthesized zinc oxide nanoparticles

Abstract ZnO nanoparticles have been synthesized and applied for the removal of different environmental pollutants in present study. Combustion method is used preparation NPs. X-Ray diffraction pattern reveals crystallinity nanoparticles, where SEM TEM images displayed that NPs were size less than 100 nm nearly spherical shape. UV–Vis IR spectra revealed formation Adsorption advanced oxidation processes employed removal/degradation trace elements/pesticide. UV reactor containing 1 rod 11 W (Philips) was photocatalytic degradation pesticide. ICP–OES GC–MS techniques further quantitative analysis elements OP pesticide—monocrotophos, respectively. The shows 88% monocrotophos when subjected to light reaction chamber 120 min at a pH 4 2 g nanocatalyst applied. However, element Arsenic linear adsorption as compared Cd Se. efficiency Se 36% 64%, respectively, after min. are more effective commercially available ones.
